Two injured in School Shooting

A gun accidentally discharged at a Los Angeles school yesterday injuring two students, a Los Angeles Unified School District spokesman has said.

This information from District spokesman Robert Alaniz’s has been given by KCBS-TV and differs from information released by police officers who said three people had been injured.

Footage has been released by KTLA-TV’s helicopters which reportedly show one youth being led off the school campus in handcuffs.

KTLA-TV’s news helicopter, meanwhile, showed footage of one youth in handcuffs on the campus.

The District spokesman has released information which states the gun was taken to the school by a student who snuck it in his backpack. The weapon discharged when the student dropped it.

Jamie Moore, a Captain in the Los Angeles Fire Department has said that two victims were transported to hospital. One victim is in a serious condition while the other is in critical condition.
